personally, i think both games are great in their own ways. assetto is more focused on simulating a track experience, while beamng is more of mindless fun.

with the progress beamng has made i really think that it will be the ultimate racing game for sim fans. people that are more into arcade racers (e.g. Need for speed) might not like it as much, but once they make a good career and give players a red line to follow, literally anyone that wants more than need for speed physics should buy this game. thats the only thing i really miss, theres just so much to do but hardly any long term goals.

stock AC is a fine game, but i'd really recommend getting content manager and all the little bits and pieces on it. CSP, SOL, CM would REALLY enhance everything.

dont forget you can change ambient temp in beamng aswell like change the celsius from 20c to -200 if you wanted to

if they compared the driving physics instead of the given comparison on this video, I think this video will have more sense. though the overall and engine sounds are a good comparison as well. they're both good in their own way

Asetto corsa is fun but it’s only a good track sim, cut up sim but beamng drive you can do all of that and personally I think beamng is a bit more realistic physics wise, asetto looks better tho

Especially with the next update, which will probably be a racing focused update (and maybe tire thermals!) BeamNG will soon beat AC and take the title for the best racing game.

Environment Customization: Assetto Corsa
Sounds: Beamng ( BeamNG's engines sound pretty good and don't sound so high pitched like they put a sound in a audio file and made the sound get higher or lower and call it a day. Assetto's sounds get so high pitched and the sounds don't really seem good)
Map Variety: Both
Car Variety: Both ( BeamNG Has a variety of presets for each car, Assetto Corsa has a lot of cars )
Damage: BeamNG ( that is a easy decision )
Mods: Both

Graphics wise assetto corsa is better for the most part but it’s kind of inconsistent, it’s quite a bit better in some things and far worse in others

Customisation wise Beamng is king in all ways
Sounds wise beamng sounds better but that might not be for everything
Beamng may not have the most maps but they’re certainly true most detailed
Beamng will also always win with vehicle variety due to the high customisability
If there’s one thing beamng is more known for than customisability it’s deformability

BeamNG is much better than Assetto. But Assetto with custom shaders patch, Sol and other mods is almost as good as BeamNG.
