My cat did the same thing in my old apartment!!! She was also a senior kitty. She would sit in the kitchen staring at the stove for HOURS. This went on for literally weeks. I looked all around for signs of mice, but nope.

Then one night at about 3am, I hear the sounds of crashing and kitty feet running at max speed. Come out to living room to find aforementioned senior lady cat absolutely blitzing after a mouse. Never saw her move so fast before or after that. She caught that mouse within 15 seconds and caught it in such a way that…well…mouse was no more.

I was so proud of her for that. Miss you Lucy ❤

I was equal parts impressed and horrified when my cat brought in an entire pigeon that was probably the same size as him. Mostly horrified, I think. Then he proceeded to cover my son's bedroom in feathers and I was just completely horrified.

Omg my cats did the same thing…brought the mouse to me to show off, only problem was it was still alive and ran all over my very drowsy shocked self 😆😂

Our cat does that too. But what I witnessed was a little frog. 🐸 I was wondering what was the little noise that I’m hearing. And lo and behold, our cat hunted the frog until its no more. My concern that time, what if it was poisonous. Good thing it’s not.

my cat only caught 1 mouse. and she got it by accidentally beating its head off the oven door when trying to drag it out with both her paws. it didn't live long due to how she accidentally injured it but what can you do?
she did enjoy her reward, which was a a small palm full of cat treats. (as per my dads promise to her if she caught it)
