YOU SHOULD NEVER WEAR A 9-inch INSEAM unless you're 6'3 or taller. If you're a shorter guy below 5'10, a 5 or 6-inch inseam works well. I'm 5'8, and a 7-inch inseam looks sloppy. You have to consider your height when looking at short inseams.
