Η Αδριανούπολη ή Αδριανούπολις (τουρκικά: Edirne «Εντιρνέ», βουλγαρικά: Одрин «Όντριν») είναι ιστορική πόλη της σημερινής Τουρκίας, στην Ανατολική Θράκη, πολύ κοντά στα σύνορα με την Ελλάδα και τη Βουλγαρία. Ιδρύθηκε από τον Ορέστη κατά τη μυθολογία και έφερε το όνομα Ορεστιάδα. Μετονομάστηκε σε Αδριανούπολη από τον Αυτοκράτορα Αδριανό. Υπήρξε η τρίτη πρωτεύουσα της Οθωμανικής Αυτοκρατορίας από το 1363 ώς το 1453, πριν η Κωνσταντινούπολη γίνει η τέταρτη και οριστική πρωτεύουσα της αυτοκρατορίας. Αποτέλεσε μεγάλο κέντρο του Ελληνισμού με σημαντική προσφορά στην Ελληνική Επανάσταση του 1821. Σήμερα είναι η πρωτεύουσα της ομώνυμης επαρχίας (6.276 τ. χλμ., 402.606 κάτ.)[1]. Ο πληθυσμός της πόλης ανέρχεται σε 165.979 κάτοικους (2014).
