This is the best way restaurants can survive the CoronaVirus outbreak closures...

Things have been progressing very quickly and with a lot of uncertainty. Many things have changed since my last video as North America and UK are in states of emergencies. Restaurants, Bars, and many activities are not allowed to operate.

This is an incredibly trying time for restaurants considering we already operate in such low margins. Since we have to close our doors, the only way we can still operate is through delivery. That is the only way we can continue to do what we do in some form. Last video I mentioned that delivery should be the core of our business - now it is the only option during this Covid-19 outbreak.

This means breaking down your menu into one that fits delivery, joining third-party delivery services like Ubereats, Grubhub, Postmates, Foodora, Skip the Dishes or having your own delivery service. Also to pair it up with your social media marketing and email markeitng efforts to spread the word. It is the time for you to inform people throughout these trying times what is happening. If you've done the work of bbuilding the relationships and community, they will be there to support you.

So if you are a restaurant owner, restaurateur, food entrepreneur, small business owner, I urge you to proceed with these tips and with optimism. We will get through this together.

I love being delivery only. So happy I started that way. I have more flexibility in my schedule to do other things and have a life. I'm preparing to be a foster parent in 2 years so getting this start-up started now and having hours of operation while they are in school with be perfect because once they get out of school I'm home with them.

Great video, totally agree, during this time of trouble and if restaurants are forced to only do takeaways than make the most out of the third party apps to gain that extra exposure.

Can you discuss how restaurants will have to set up the front of house when we open? Ideas to start implementing and training staff.

We offer 10% off if they mention our latest post on social media. Less profit is better than zero profit. Offering curbside pickup. Heard a rumor that we will all be shut down before the weekend. We are in Fort Worth. Thanks for your videos Wilson. Stay safe & healthy!

There is nothing cutting edge heat. Most restaurants were already running slim margins with 50 percent costs in food and labor. Delivery services charge 30 percent and no way you do close to as much business on take out. Guess what? Restaurants survive on crowds of people gathering. No crowds you are just trying to hang on delivery won’t cover. How long do you think this will effect us? It will completely change the way we do restaurants they are talking about taking peoples temperatures when they come in and taking half the seating out in california. Your suggesting are like putting a band aid on a bullet wound.

Can you give a suggestion or idea for a caterer like me to survive this "No Events" season? Despite all the food deliveries right now, how can I be able to be in demand?

Be careful buying gift cards or gift certificates from restaurants. We know of many Mom, Pops and new franchises that have sold thousands of dollars of gift cards with the best intentions and closed. Gifts Cards from an unstable industry are very high risk in this era of uncertainty.

still not enough ..
3rd party apps charge a ridiculous percentage fee., they were ok as a support on the side when the restaurant is running full fledged. High Rents, rates, vat and other running costs are way too much for a restaurant with such slim industry profit margins I don't see any way out unless there are newb rent negotiations with the landlords and thar has to really reduced new rents . and keep fingers crossed to see how customers react to post covid 19 .. end of lockdown doesn't mean people will just spending as the job losses due to covid will leave a lot of people with very little or no money at all
