Silentstroke drumheads are the ultimate low-volume drumheads that significantly reduce you’re playing volume while still giving you the natural acoustic tone and feel of your kit. Check out this comparison video that demonstrates Silentstroke at -70% decibel levels compared to Ambassador Coated drumheads.

I can’t wait to start playing on these ! One of the best developments in drumheads and drumming in decades. I’ll gladly play on these over an electronic set.

Can't get any idea of how loud these are from the video - they sound nice but give us something like a voice to compare them to. Yes, talk and drum at the same time!

I'd rather use these than an electric kit in an apartment environment.

Another thing you can try is to play with rods sticks. It can be even more quiet than play with regular sticks.

What does having silent strokes on top and bottom do to the volume?

anyone have any fixes for the excessive rebound? I have to have my snare drum batter head super loose to get a somewhat realistic snare drum feel and my tension rods become loose easily after a few hits. also have problem with the snare head not being articulate enough when playing ghost notes

I had one on my snare and it was great until it broke. The head part somehow separated from the aluminum rim and it won't fit back in no matter what I try. I love Remo they are my favorite brand but I'm hesitant about getting a full set of these Silentstrokes.

Awesome, I will buy these for triggering. Can you also tune these to the desired fundamental pitch of a note as with regular skins? I currently have pinstripes and a power stroke 3 on my kit. Thanks!

Ok, Remo. How are you going to prevent damage to the shell edge over time? That a typical trouble all kevlar heads. My idea for you, that you сould create hybrid heads, which will have a protection in the point touching shell edge, and solid coating in a center for little more tone.

Do you have any advice on dampening or tuning. Particularly on the bass? One stripe of masking tape gave me a good sound/body on the Tom's but still kept the lower volume.

Is there an in between? These are a bit too quiet.

Can they replace the stock heads of a e-drum kit like on a Alesis kit?

Do they feel like real heads, or like the mesh heads on the electronic kits ? I would be afraid to mess up the technique which I’ve worked so hard to develop, because the e-kits are easy to fake on because they have different rebound. Acoustic heads require better control.
