it's HILARIOUS seeing all the Gibson fanatics point out flaws in a real one like the company isn't well-known for their rocky quality history

I purchased a Tobacco Burst Jimmy Page Signature Chibson Les Paul Standard for $170 with free shipping and It only took 4 or 5 days to arrive. I immediately installed a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB Bridge Humbucker Pickup and a Seymour Duncan SH-1 '59 Les Paul PAF Neck Humbucker Pickup in it and of course tossed the Modern cap across the tone pot wired directly to the volume Pot's input lug wiring and wired 2- A500K CTS Tone Pots, 2- B500k CTS Volume Pots, with real Orange Drop Tone Capacitors wired in the way Jimmy Page actually had his (50's style but with both Capacitor's terminals moved over to the Volume Pot's #3 lugs and the Tone Pot's #2 lugs and both input wires swapped with both the output wires for independent Volume control. I installed a Gibson Nashville Style (ABR-1 Without the retaining wire) Tune-O-matic Bridge and Stop bar Tailpiece and this guitar is badass, it's absolutely amazing and it didn't cost me $3, 000+ dollars to own it. Also, The neck and fretwork are absolutely flawless and the finish on the guitar is gorgeous.

It's a very nice Chibson ! The fret ends do not have binding. They did however correct the truss rod cover with the correct style now as compared to older model Chibsons. Looks fantastic ! Absolutely Nothing is wrong with owning a Chibson !

Color of the tunners a little bit transparent, no fret nibs, looks like a veneer in the top in 2 pieces, pick guard cream and pickup rings color don’t match, the nut looks plastic white —- looks like a good chibi

Its a gibson...chibsons never get the volume and tone knob positions correct, and chibsons always have epiphone sized pickup rings...this is the real deal

Not to mention, the actual Les Paul logo, seems to be slightly, misplaced.

I always thought the binding on a Gibson fretboard covered the edges of the frets as well. This clearly doesn’t. So unless it’s been re-fretted, it’s a fake???

The right bridge post (high E side) looks like it has a flat head slot like an import model LP but the left side post is hard to distinguish. It looks authentic but that bridge post is throwing me off.

Judging by the comments a very good Chibson. Course after slowing it down the head stock and longo looks pretty authentic so I would need to see inside the pickup cavities to know for sure.

It’s impossible to be sure but I’m guessing it’s a Gibson based on the bridge.
