Whip up this creamy shrimp spaghetti recipe in just 15 minutes! Juicy shrimp, garlic, and parmesan blend perfectly with al dente pasta for a quick, delicious meal.
We just got home from an epic fishing trip to Prince Rupert where we caught hundreds of fresh spot prawns! This easy recipe is one of the ways that we’ll be using our catch 🦐🙌🏻
Ingredients:
12 oz spaghetti
6 strips of bacon, chopped into pieces
3/4 lb. 30-35 jumbo shrimp peeled and deveined, tail off
4 cloves garlic
1/3 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
6 Tbsp unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 cup heavy cream
Fresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions:
1. Place shrimp in a medium bowl and toss with salt and pepper.
2. In a small bowl, combine 4 Tbsp butter, 3 minced garlic cloves, parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes.
3. In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat.
4. Remove from the pan to a piece of paper towel, leaving bacon grease in the skillet.
5. Meanwhile, bring a large pot of water to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce heat slightly and add spaghetti noodles.
6. Cook the noodles according to package instructions until al dente and drain water using a colander. Let the cooked spaghetti rest in the colander.
7. Add remaining butter and garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant.
8. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook in a single layer for 6-8 minutes over medium until done. The cook time will depend on the size of the shrimp you are using.
9. Remove from heat.
10. Add spaghetti to the shrimp and top with butter mixture.
11. Stir to combine until the butter melts completely.
12. Add cream, bacon, and parsley.
13. Toss and serve.
