It could be near perfect if Sony could address these issues
-EOTF overtracking without gradation preferred which when fixed could enable more impactful HDR for gaming
-Dolby vision issues pertaining to the eotf tracking and pink/green artifacts
-The missing features promised at launch
-The update that puts the a95l in line with the Bravia 9 etc supporting the sony connect app, voice zoom 3, prime calibrated mode, etc

As some 1 who has the Sony a95l, I wish Sony will do something about their buggy software.
Tv shuts offs on its own despite power recycles and just resetting the whole tv .
Constantly making me have to set up my connected device especially my Marantz 8802a and Panasonic ub820.
Let's not forget dropping audio and forcing a restart of the TV which is awesome when u gaming.
But.... what a phenomenal picture when its not being buggy .

Congrats, always been a Sony fan, however, went with lg G4. Couldn’t justify the $1200 price difference (at the time of purchase).

Wow, two times the Sony is the winner. Congratulations for never fixing the Dolby Vision Bugs in each Model (A95L and Bravia 9) if you'll fix all the bugs in the picture quality I'll be as happy as you are for winning this price.

About the Bravia 9
- worst Uniformity I have ever seen on an actual LCD TV
- Dolby Vision picture issues
- Bad near black behave
- and so on....

Love the picture quality on this TV, but the audio is a buggy mess, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone even with the latest update.

Please, the only reason why value electronics made this old TV king again is because there a Sony diamond tier. no honesty there. The true king is Samsung s95d. Hey Sony you haven’t innovated in decades. Stop using other companies panels and make something of your own for once.

Great joke, A95L king of the OLED? That TV cant display Dolby Vision correctly, posterization, tinting and artifacts in darker scenes is making DV unwatchable so dont brag here about how good that TV is because its not!
