That clear varnish looks like it will leave Temptress a lot brighter inside. It make a big difference.

Great update! Interesting to see how you deal with each issue on an older boat. I just bought a 40 year old boat. Everything works on the boat, but could use updating. Time will tell where our projects go. Thanks for being there.

Looks great, Emily.
I just finished replacing all of the 37 year old water lines on S/V Kismet. New faucets everywhere, and added a hot water recirculating system, so hot water is nearly instantly available at the showers.

I feel the pain! Finished sanding the hull, starting this morning rolling interprotect, and fairing the new epoxy-over-balsa core cockpit floor, figuring out the new battery bracket... it has been quite the adventure/money pit so far this winter!

Lots to do in preparation of the first open Sea journey in 12 years. Then Up on the hard for 8-10 weeks rust busting and painting below the water line inside and out. Back in Rotterdam half September.

I'm a year and a half into a Colombia 10.7 refit. Hopefully I'll splash in the spring of 2023. Its going to be one of a kind boat skeg Inplace of the spade rudder, bow sprit, going from sloop to cutter. And all the usual crusing upgrades. 48 videos of nothing but boatwork so far. I cant wait to get out there with you guys!

I wish I had another boat to live on! I’m living and rebuilding the interior and it’s hard 😂😂😂 looking good! The first few coats will make all that work seem worthwhile!

Good progress Emily.
I’ve finally finished reglassing my cockpit and aft deck! Painting next.

Just preparing to travel to our boat. I like the lighter colour. It really brightens up the boat. Older boats tend to be a little on the dark side.

Looking MUCH better! I'm working on replacing the old vinyl covering on the walls of the V-berth with carpet and expanding the settee to make a more comfy seating and sleeping setup. Then I get to fix a leaking seal on the generator raw water pump. It's always something. LOL.

Good morning!!
Now that I’m back at the boat in Puerto Rico you can’t help but to get up early because once the sun comes up……that’s it, the head is on!! 😅👍🏻
But it sure as hell beats sitting nice and comfy…..at your office!!🍻

What i did when i used total boats varnish was use amber first then clear loved it. Put amber on first not second.

It's not important that anything matches anything. What's important is that your home is safe and comfortable. Plus now it has character that only comes from time and care.

I prefer the amber color, but that's me. My boat is on the hard. I sanded the bottom in prep for another couple of coats of bottom paint (semi-hard ablative). I am also making battery boxes for prismatic LiFePO cells (fiberglass over plywood) and generally getting ready to launch.
