This is hauntingly familiar.
What happened was that Yanukovich "won" in an election that half of the country thought was rigged. Then he decided to jail his opponent Yulia Tymoshenko.
It wasn't so much his pro-Russian views that led to his ouster. It was the fact that Yulia was in prison. The people could have lived with him for his term, if he'd been reasonable. But she would die, and everyone knew it.
That's what caused the revolution.

Please explain what involvement the US and RF had leading up to and on the Maidan.
All I have ever seen is a phone call discussing what to do after Yanukovich fled??? (the Nuland call, when did it take place?) And some vague allegation about $5 billion US "buy off" - a bit strange when Putin was offering $15B to abandon joining the EU? And Nuland handing out tea and cake?
Also I have seen a newspaper clipping that Yanukovich made an election promis toe "work toward" EU.
Could you please explain the full facts about the influence of US, RF and Yanukovich's promises and actions?

Just for illustration of strength and its roots, let's look at ATESH, the Crimean Tatar coalition fighting on all physical, information, intelligence sectors.
Relatively less formal than a military, it is composed of INDIVIDUALS, bothe Ukrainian and Tatar oriented, though Crimean Tatars form autonomus part and alliance.

Strength is individual, as life forever is. While imperial Tsars and imperialist bolsheviks, and now, imperialist russian ex-soviet counterintelligence and other individuals seeking control and coercive power, constitutiing kremlin siloviks, have consistently forcibly deported Ukrainians (whose kanguage, substantially differing from theirs, indicating STRONG Allopatric separation historically),
AND Tatars, from their homes, to far reaches of Siberia -pretty much everything east of Urals,
along with to Uzekistan and elsewhere in cebtral Asia, as well as Karelia and far north which is also generalized to be designated Siberia.

This has given advantage to Atesh, the people who bring Fire to the silovik muscovy wherever they attempt to rule and coerce.

Ukraine fought ferociously for freedom in 2017-22, and never ceased, nor did Crimean the constant oppression of stalin, resulting in late 1920s, the early 30s holodomor, the late 30s executions, the Ukrainian desire to gain alliance with ANYONE to separate from muscovy, resulted also in the 1944 muscovite forced dispersal of MOST Crimeans, and replacement by russian nationals from the north.

After stalin's death, onward some Crimeans were allowed to return.
putin's forcing again relocation and installation of russian nationals is, as Intel chief Budanov notes, the reason why the Kerch bridge remains at all. As escape route for the artificially installed russians in Crimea.

So, Atesh from Sakhalin and far east through St Petersburg & Leningrad oblast is a "forward" Ukrainian/Crimean operating group.

Silovik muscovy has no chance against what its policies had forced.
