Imbizo discussing amaMpondo kingship dispute

The Qaukeni Great Place Royal Council in Lusikisiki in the Eastern Cape is holding an imbizo to discuss the way forward after the Supreme Court of Appeal judgment relating to the amaMpondo kingship dispute. The judgment set aside the findings of the Nhlapo Commission and the recognition of the late king Zanozuko Sigcau as the King of AmaMpondo aseQaukeni. Currently, there are two Queen regents - Queen Nobandla Sigcau and Queen Masobhuza Sigcau - claiming leadership over the nation. Both have called separate imbizos.
