IGN News - Lost Planet 3 Release Date, Box Art, Pre-Order Bonuses

Despite an initial target of early 2013, Capcom has now announced that Lost Planet 3 will hit Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on June 25th in North America and June 28th in Europe. The news comes along side a bevy of new info for the title, including a batch of new screenshots and the game's box art.

All I know is I hope the mechs will epic on multiplayer, it would be even cooler if you get to build your own from the ground up. By savaging parts from the mechs of other players.

Judging from the trailer, I'd say the game looks like the illegitimate offspring of Dead Space 3 and Avatar. The whole snowy frozen planet thing may be purely coincidental, but the camera angle style and some facets of the gameplay look undeniably similar. The Avatar thing, yeah... Just watch the trailer and you'll figure out the whole plot... Not looking good story wise, but the GPS action style looks better than DS's indecisive horror elements.

In terms of horror and cinematic execution/ enacted gameplay? No, DS3 did not rip off Lost Planet.

I feel this story is cliche, I liked the story of LP2 where you seemed like just a henchman caring about the mission instead of love affairs or the care for other people.

Never played Lost planet but i might check it out, but i would like some information first, whats the story and the vibe of the game? is it a good series? from the frist 2, wich one is betther? Should i get or not? some information would change my mind in actualy trying this series!
