*FUN FACT*: VW ka ye 1.0 litre engine actually bhp aur torque ke mamle me apni actual potential ke just 35% pe aata hai. VW ne isi 1.0 engine se supercharger lga ke apne OEM map pe 272 BHP aur 270 nm torque nikal rakha hai. Had se zyada strong hai is engine ka block+components. Stage 1 OEM map pe ye 132 BHP aur 240 nm Torque tak jaati hai plus Air-rich map karwaoge to fuel economy bhi badh jati hai.

I am in the market to buy a hatch or sedan in a budget of 20-25 lakh with Slavia and Virtus being my first 2 choices (since there are no hatches in India worth buying anymore in my budget). Went to test drive Slavia at their dealership today and I am shocked to see how difficult Skoda has made it to buy a relatively simple product. My only requirement was a 1.5 TSI DSG car in white colour (funny that I have to tell that the roof in white car must also be white) with 6 airbags, all 4 disks and analog (needle) dials

I got to know that almost all the variants now have black roof. When I told the salesperson that I wanted the body colour and roof colour to be same, he advised me to buy car in black colour itself. :)

When all their competitors have moved to all disks, they still have drums at the rear! While we were on the test drive, I asked the sales person about it and he was quick to tell that the company wasnt offering rear disks as drum brakes needed lower maintenance and had longer life than disks. :))

What's with those ugly toy like digital instrument clusters that are so distracting? Please for Gods sake offer dials with needles in top variants as well. (I currently drive a Polo GT TSI 2018 with those beautiful orange needles) Looks even better at night. Perfect car in every which way one can think of! Such a flickable pocket rocket. Would even spend 20 lakh on it today, if they offer 6 airbags and all 4 disks with everything else being the same.

Skoda, Please keep 1 variant for sober class as well. (without that ugly chhapri digital cluster and black roof). Also, ADAS etc is not required. Make the car all disk sooner than later. I am not buying a car with rear drums in 2024!

In Kerala a customer paid 14 lakh to a Skoda dealer ( Malayalam motors) to buy a Skoda slavia. But later tha dealer got closed one day and the customer lost her full money and skoda also not taking responsibility on that and the customer paid 10 months EMI also without the car and the matter is in the consumer court now . A video ( Baiju N Nair) is viral in Kerala regarding this cheating . So if you are planning to buy Skoda or waiting after booking, think once again.

It's a very good car & Monte Carlo edition is super, but we don't have any colour option to choice, only limiting with two colours Red & white make to rethink user to purchase this edition... Colour is a personal choice so your'e again limiting the user to go with this beautiful edition.
