Atomic CLR vs Tech 21 Power engine 2019 Part 2

Here is part 2 of our comparison between the Atomic CLR and the new Tech 21 Power Engine.
Parts were performed direct and revamped later for consistency. The signal path was a
Peluso P12 mic 3 feet back into a BAE 73MPL straight into a Lynx Aurora into Pro Tools. a;; parts were gain matched for a fair comparison.
They sound very close in the recording, in the room the Tech 21 had a lot more low end and a guitar cab like quality, the CLR was brighter and more hi fi.
We used the Atomic AmpliFIRE for the sound source which sounded great with no tweaking at all.
Hopefully I'll be getting one in the next few months and I can do comparison of that and some tube amps as well. enjoy, and please subscribe !
