Hell of a way you altered it. If you did or could make another one or would have in this one and slowed and showed your hand you would have the best one out there hands down! Hell of a job dude. You got a sub and a like from me! Make another one please where it’s slower how your playing it and sing a little or even say the words in the song so people know where your at when your playing it! I literally just started to learn this song last night. It's my favorite Shinedown song. I don't know the notes, I don't know about "hammering" (although I get the idea after seeing you do it) I don't know about power chords. I'd be playing it now but it's 1 in the mornin, and I have roommates (my parents). I don't want to ramble on too long but I already subbed because I can tell that you care about teaching people songs and you definitely deserve more attention! I do love this song.
Also, the birds on the neck of your guitar remind me of The Sound of Madness album cover. I don't know if that's what you were going for but I really like it!
