Fully agree Mike. There is a tiny party called the SDP who have the right ideas on energy, worth looking at. Hard to believe that the party of workers (Labour-sic) is about to extinguish UK's most successful industry over the last 50 years, offshore oil & gas.

Trading Economics have UK Crude Oil Production at Jan; 601.00 BBL/D/1K and Feb; 633.00 BBL/D/1K, hardly Windfall production.

Hunt and Sunak sucked money out of the Economy with higher Energy prices and the +75% Energy windfall tax; a PONZI scheme that delivered funds via stealth and a stealth austerity for all draining liquidity from the UK Economy and by channelling funds directly to the treasury, thus enabling a reversal of the NI tax hikes that Sunak instigated. NG settlement price stayed x3 time above the spot price for over a year, this may have been in 'co-operation' with OFGEM, a price that high over 2 years could not just be down to lack of storage in the UK or a War where UK still insure Russian ships carrying NG exports. It is 100% correct that there is not a Political Party in the UK that have a workable Energy Strategy, never mind keeping the Grid in service and allowing Energy contracts based on source all will remain fixed to Gas.
