Dude you need a better power meter. For example AVHzY. It supports various quick charge protocols and will let you instantly know what the apple charger is delivering. Why do you give an advice to stick to Apple? I would prefer to go for a more powerful gan powersupply with the same form factor but with more outlets/outputs for instance shargeek have 100w and even 140w. When you choose a USB c cable you need to check the specifications you can find decent cables on Amazon with up to 100watt power support and 40Gbps data transfer for around 15 to 20 dollars.
