How to Downgrade from Windows 10 to Previous Windows

Don’t like Windows 10? Want to go back your previous version of Windows? Well all is not lost, as long as its in 31 days of upgrading to Windows 10, you can uninstall Windows 10 and downgrade your computer back to its original install of Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 operating system. This does not stop you from upgrading to Windows 10 again later on down the line.

Their is still a chance to downgrading from Windows 10 after a month, you would need to use a clone or system image to reinstall from or use the recovery cd or windows installation media with your old Windows product key.

Their is even a restore factory settings for some people, but not everyone will have this option available to them.

Thank you so much! You really helped me. I was desperate. After updating to w10 aniversary, majority of my programs stopped working or had a lot of issues. Uninstalling and installing again didn't fix anything. I really wanted to know how to go back to the previous w10 version and you showed me this easy way. If we don't have the option the other method for the downgrade is to use older windows installation media

i "upgraded" to Windows 10 a few weeks back while it was still a free upgrade. i soon realized what a big mistake that was but was comforted by the fact that reverting to Windows 7 was easy. That was my second mistake as i rolled back the upgrade and rebooted to a BSOD!! Nice one Micro$oft!! i had to wipe my hard drive and reinstall Windows 7

Haha funny use of terms: "downgrade". I consider it an upgrade from the intrusive spyware called Windows 10 to an OS that is more amenable to user control and privacy, such as Win7.

Yeah I had Windows 10 on my laptop for about 2 months and tried going back to 7, no luck didn't have original recovery image so I shopped around on Pirate Bay and found a good Windows 7 with activation key. Now I'm happy.
