So glad you talking about this coz I did exactly the same thing and today I'm doing something different and my parents and I are like, "you should've taken a gap year and apply again to do what you wanted to do" and at that point or time I'm done with course, I'm in the workspace even and one can't turn back time. Furthermore, I also have this thing not telling my parents aswell that " I don't really like this course😬..." or anything along those lines so definitely a very important topic you talking about right now

What an important topic! I am also a victim of pursuing a career ( becoming a CA(SA) ) because I was told that my High IQ level would be wasted if I were to explore what I was truly passionate about. I found my way back, thankfully but I must admit that with a society that struggles to earn a basic income one wonders if we really do have a choice sometimes.
