How to Export All Your Gmail Contacts

There may come a time when you want to get the list of all your contacts in Gmail. For example, if you are looking to create an email marketing campaign for your clients, this could be very useful.

Step # 1 - Go to Contacts tab in your Gmail account
You can export your Gmail Contacts list into a CSV file. To do so, sign in to your email account. Next, click “Gmail” at the top-left corner of your web page and choose “Contacts”.

Step # 2 - Export your Gmail contacts
From the “More” drop-down menu, select “Export”. Choose whether to export all contacts or only one group.

Step # 3 - Choose the best format to export your contacts
Select the format in which you'd like to export your contacts' information. To transfer contacts between Google accounts, use the Google CSV format. This is the recommended way to back up your Google Contacts. To transfer contacts to Outlook, Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail, or various other apps, use the Outlook CSV format. To transfer contacts to Apple Address Book, use the vCard format. Then Click “Export”.

Depending on the requirements of the program to which you're exporting your contacts from Gmail, you can easily edit the file to suit your needs.
