We used to let our pigs loose on our wooded lot, and the older pigs would introduce the new ones to a variety of mushrooms. The new pigs would go absolutely wild over the shooms!

You'd be surprised at how animals will not eat something until they just find out they can.
A mountain lion lived in an area with mountain goats for seven years and didn't predate on them for that entire period of time, once it did it switched it's diet to go for mountain goats and had to be relocated before it caused localized extinction.

I was hesitant to get a pig, my elderly mom begged for weeks. I gave in. And im in love with my kune kune! They are so smart! Next time someone calls me a pig, I will 100% take it as a comment 😂
As you can tell from my photo lol. Anyway, it's my first time with a pig and I'm about to embark on HOOF TRIMMING for my first time! No ferriers for piggies anywhere near me. Godbless!

Pigs are just what is needed to clear a field for cultivation. After eating the grass they will grub up the ground looking for roots.

Fun fact: if you give pigs the option to either rest on concrete or a bed of hay they will choose the concrete. They have trouble with temp regulation so they prefer the coolness of the concrete.
