With an unchanged line-up stretching back to 1969 and global album sales in excess of 50 million, ZZ Top continue to delight fans around the world with brilliant live concerts and great music.

The band has made a number of visits to Montreux over the years and this concert from the 2013 Festival is undoubtedly one of their finest live performances. The set list blends tracks from early seventies albums such as "Tres Hombres" and "Fandango" through their eighties blockbuster period with "Eliminator" and "Afterburner" and up to their most recent release and return to their blues roots with "La Futura". The middle section of the concert features a jazz-blues tribute to the late Montreux Festival founder Claude Nobs with guest appearances by Mike Flanigin on Hammond Organ and Van Wilks on guitar. ZZ Top, the "lil' ol' band from Texas", are rocking the blues as strongly as ever!

Saw them a few years ago at the Marquee in Cork, Ireland. They put on a great show...just good decent rock'n'roll, no nonsense! What a pleasure! Can't understand how anyone could give this a "dislike"!

To all you young rock stars who want to "play the guitar on your MTV", watch Billy, "that's the way you do it". Learn your instrument, do 300 nights a year for 40 years, and you too could become a master. Never heard him do it live trio before, but damn if it's not as good or better than the record. All respect to the Rev.

ZZ Top is one of these bands that could improvise for hours the same song and i would never get tired being pulled into their musical flow. This is musical wisdom.

ZZ Top are the proof that you don't need 5+ people to rock the stage! :)

The sections between 0.52 and 0.56 are amazing because he manages to sing without opening his mouth and the guitar is seemingly able to play itself.

I've seen them do this song many times in concert, and I have to say that this is one of the best renditions I've have seen. For some reason Billy would go off on a guitar lead that totally changed the whole body of the song, like he has to prove that he is this great guitar player (oh and he is!) and so I was somewhat disappointed with the performance. ZZ Top has been around for 51 years, and I saw them (pre ZZ Top) as The Moving Sidewalks, they played at my CYO Dance in summer of '69, so I've been listening to them for 51 and a half years and I've seen them evolve from a psycodelic surf rock band, into the biggest boogie blues rock trio in less than a years time! Billy has his new band now, but without the accompaniment of Dusty Hill it's just not the same for me. Three dudes. Two with beards, and Frank Beard.
