I remember like it was yesterday, when I first heard this song. It was the summer of 1982, and I just turned 19 yrs old. My girlfriend, and I spend that weekend at a Rock Festival in Puerto Rico. The people who put the Festival together, played this song "Heat of The Moment ", over the loudspeakers, and pretty much got seared into my memory. It became the Anthem of my Youth. The Festival was at a very secluded surfer's beach, and a lot of people had tents alredy on the beach. I think, 99% of the people on that beach, were high as a kite, drinking, smoking, and smelling dust. You know, baby powder. We put up our tent, and stayed at the beach too. I bet you can't do that anymore. That's right, you can't even smoke cigarettes in public places. I feel very sorry for today's youth. Those were the days, when life was just AMAZING, and a lot more simpler. No Worries, No Cellular, No Beeper, No Mortgage, No kids. Just pure FUN! Those days, would never come back, but the memories will live forever in our minds. Awesome Song!✌❤

Can’t believe this song turned 40 this year. This song is 20 years old than me, but I grew up listening to this song a lot. When you hear this song playing on the radio, you ALWAYS have to crank the radio up.

Man, talk about going back! I was 19 when this song came out and I used to listen to this over and over. I'm now 59 and I can still feel the tug of this song. Back to a simpler, less complicated time. Yay for 80's music!

Man, this song takes me right back to 1982 & hits me real hard! Was still hanging on to my teen years when this came out. But oh, life would change for me in 82 when I turned 20 that summer. Had just left NJ & moved the Florida in January of 82.

Was totally on my own with my 1st real job laying the plywood roof on a huge Catholic church in Cape Coral, FL. My 1st Florida summer. Hot as a mutha-effer and this song was all over FM radio.

Times were hard back then but life was still sweet. 40 years later and I can still see that young naive kid from Jersey who was living life on a shoestring budget & blind faith.

1982 will always be a special year for me and this song is the time machine that takes me back there.
