my best guess on the cross is that originally it was colored red? and its against the geneva convention to have a red cross symbolize medical help outside of actual war and such? (which is why in a lot of video games they usually get changed to blue crosses instead) i think they might have changed it last minute, which is why the cross isnt colored in at all on the figure. they probably took the pics of the prototype before they found out and had to change it.

Honestly the figures wouldn't bug me so much if they didn't put bluey and bingo in every set and the same figures of them. I get that they are the main characters but Damn.

For the Socks with the human ears, If you look at some episodes of Bluey some characters have headphones on the sides of their heads, so it make sense. ( or it could be tufts of hair).

Red Cross is a Organization that mandated that its logo only be used for emergencies or a major crisis. They help lots of people around the world so useing the logo for figures is a bit of a no go. In star wars they made up their own variant of it.

When I bought the bluey and family pack chili's right ear wasn't colored brown I think it just was a factory error or something it just seemed strange to me 🤷‍♀️ but I definitely love the figures more than the plushies 🥰 they fit adorably in the calico critters playsets well ♥️ I also have the bluey's friends pack, indie figure, and I have the school pack with calypso ♥️

Awesome review! So far I have all the playsets except Scooter fun, Pool time, Bluey friends, and the heeler house. Also since you mentioned about the packaging variants, theres also Bandit figure variations! And also, I'm pretty sure the pool time set is based off of the season 2 episode, "Swim school" because it looks similar to the pool they went to in Bali.
And also theres more playsets coming soon! Theres going to be a cat squad set with Muffin, some cones, and the cat squad car. And theres going to be a camping playset that comes with a caravan, campfire, marshmallows on sticks, Jean-Luc figure, Bluey figure, and I feel like there was more items, but that's what I can think of right now😅
