The one problem I have with the Mars 5 Ultra is the need to preheat the resin. I am running the Elegoo 8k resin and I was struggling with print failures. I eventually found a Reddit post talking about warming the resin. Sure enough this fixed everything. The problem is this requires you to dump the resin revivor back in the bottle and set the resin bottle in a a container filled with hot water for 15 minutes. While printing the UV light is enough to keep it warm. You really want the resin to be at 80+'F or more. This makes it much more thin.

The other issue is Chitubox sucks. Lychee is way better. I could not find a feature to add islands to the prints. Without that lip to pry under it can be VERY hard to get the print off the plate. The test rook printed flat on the plat and took a putty knife and a hammer to get it to pop off. An Island with a lip to pry under fixes this problem. I also could not figure out how to export the file. It was grayed the whole time and I could not get it to work at all. It was so much harder to use the Lychee. Lychee though does not yet support the camera and I was not sure how to get the files off my computer through wi-fi, so I resorted to using the USB instead.

That said the prints look great and this thing is so much faster than my Mars 3... like 2-3 times faster. Plus the new print plate lockdown and auto leveling is great. It also seems to be a more solid machine.

You can add the Elegoo Heating- module to the Mars 5 series but not to the Mars 4 Ultra. This makes a big difference for colder printing locations

I would rather wait for a 4K DLP Mars Ultra with a 30 micron pixel size and about 115*65 mm build area. UV DLP light engines last 10 times longer than the mono lcd screen and also finer resolution blocks light transmission thereby increasing exposure time. DLP light engines are also very highly energy efficient. Elagoo needs to develop a more better force detection system as the current design does not detect peel forces accurately. Many users complaint about the spring loaded build plate not being accurate enough. The force sensors seem to be in the wrong place, what if the vat tank is mounted on top of force sensors? Peel forces detected near the vat tank will be more accurate, consistant and indepentent of the printed parts stiffness. The build plate can be fully rigid and instead the vat tank could adjust automatically to the rigid build plate. This is possible if the vat tank is mounted on force sensing actuators.
