Thank you! Andrew I literally couldn't believe it when you didn't cover this lady's ridiculous accomplishment at the time. Glad you finally caught up!

During races track commentators like to point out who looks calm and who seems to be struggling. Hassan is always grimacing, her stride isn't as smooth as others, and then she crosses the line first. After the race she's happy about her performance and the smile comes out.

Love watching her run! So much grit! Her Olympic medals are well deserved 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Hassan’s greatest feat, in my opinion, was getting tripped during a qualifying round in 2020, falling down, and not only qualifying but winning the race.

I'm sure that there are those who followed this video to the end and were able to make sense of all the information. As for me, I gave up tryig to get the one in a billion issue. You talked this presentation to death.

If you're going to list Olympic 'distance dynamos' you have to include Emil Zatopek (Czech) who won the 5K, 10K, and marathon at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics.

I had never heard of her. Thanks to you, now I have. Just goes to show how we get so much media noise which drowns out the info on some truly great accomplishment!

Javelin's Hohn and High jump's Sotomayor, are some of the greatest athletes. Each story, not just of record breaking, is worth remembering as a marvel of personal and athletic acheivement. Thank you for sharing Siffan Hassan's story.

What about Emile Zatopek? In 1952 he won GOLD in the 5, 000, 10, 000 and marathon—THE FIRST MARATHON IN WHICH HE HAD EVER COMPETED. That’s why Runner’s World magazine selected him as the greatest of all time.

Thanks for covering this amazing athlete. I still think Ledecka winning gold in skiing and snowboarding in the same Olympic is probably never to be repeated again.

Thank you so much for recognizing Sifan Hasan's exceptional talent. I think of her running when I am in the gym, and she is my inspiration. I am a 65-year-old male that does running on the elliptical machine and "air running" where I hold my body up and run in the air. Knees are bad but I think of her pushing somehow through it all in the marathon and it works. Before I knew better I would think that she bettr get going but she is so smart she waits and waits and then make her move at the right time. Her kinesthetic IQ is off the charts.
