I don’t think any parent has the right to establish that a grown adult child can’t be responsible . So what if they blow it on holidays and cosmetic surgery it’s their inheritance. Some parents lock the money in a trust because they don’t like one particular child. That happened in my case where my mother wanted me to have a trust account. I told her to stick it where the sun doesn’t shine. I disinherited myself. I don’t want any of her filthy money. My father stole it all anyway so it’s dirty money. I don’t want any inheritance. I catch and kill my own money. I don’t need theirs. I cut off all ties with my family today. I am well off for the rest of my life. At least my money is clean. Theirs isn’t.
