I think this dramas had the most perfect cast of all dramas I've seen. Not even one person could be replaced. And the acting was amazing. I love the anime but unlike many other live actions, The Untamed really touched our hearts like no other

I thought live action will be awkward as always, but the untamed is definitely the best is the best.. so perfect lanzhan character is difficult since he playing with less expression and talkless but lanzhan convey it perfectly through his facial only without talking much

I can't unsee Xiao Zhan as Wei Ying and Wang Yibo as Lan Zhan, even while reading the manga, it's their face I see and their voices I hear. The yaoi is too strong, help, I can't get over The Untamed.

I prefer the donghua but the live is definitely the best one I've seen. Before Untamed, anime/manga/novel live-action series adaptations were equal to me as just bad.

Of course the live action has better micro-expressions from character due to them being portrayed by actual casting of real life people, and they're more details in scenes due to not being limited by time limit. The anime has very limited time and must finished those scenes with those limits. But personally, I still feel the anime was superior, and it engaged my emotions a LOT more. Plus the animation quality is superb and the OST are incredible.

When I first seeing it on tumblr, I had *no* *idea* it was BL when I started. The fact that even despite the heavy censorship I can easily feels Lan Wangji's unconditional love to Wei Wuxian, and Wei Wuxian's still growing love, is honestly a huge credit to the animators and director. Not to mention the characterizations and the uniqueness of Wei Wuxian as the unusual main character and Lan Wangji as the perfect opposite attract whose love is unconditional and care about well-being of others. It may even be my favorite shows of all time even including american movies, asian dramas, and anime tbh.

Anyway, thanks for the video! This story is a masterpiece in every form it takes, and I hope it only continues to gain the recognition and love it deserves.

Usually when someone takes a anime and makes into a live movie or series it sucks and changes completely but they did a amazing job on this one. Its alot like the anime, and the characters are pretty similar.
