Seiko Solar V172 Rechargeable Battery Replacement

This video shows you how to change a Seiko Solar battery in a V172 movement. This process would work on most Seiko V17 based movements. I would recommend getting a battery with the terminals attached to make this process easier.

I have a V172-OANO Seiko Chronograph Solar watch that was given to me. Thanks so much for your video. I opened the back and ordered the battery, which will be here in a few days
I was told by a jeweler that the watch didn't have a battery in it because it was solar -powered and if putting it under light for 72 hours didn't work he would "go into it" for $150..

Where do you buy your gaskets by any chance? I have a V172-0AJ0 and can’t seem to find any gaskets for it online.
