i really enjoy your videos. I am not a trained network admin, but i like to learn more about it and your vidoes are a pretty good examples of what could happen in the real world.

As someone looking to make the jump from a second line support role into a Network support/admin role, your channel is an incredible insight into some of the day to day activities/challenges one might face. I've subscribed and I look forward to seeing more of your uploads!

We have had so many FW updates on ours and about 1 in 5 will cause one problem or another. and yea, the hardware layer for the GUI on these is really underpowered. Such a slow interface when you are in a hurry to troubleshoot something it's really frustrating. Good to see you up this early. Hope the day goes well.

Are the patch panels in another cabinet? Long term you might want to consider moving things around so that for any given switch you have a patch panel above for the top row of ports and a patch panel below for the bottom row of ports. You can then use very short cables, which also looks neater. Not sure if some of them cables have an excessive amount of slack, some might be too long for the length of run.

I have had more than one device that once you replace the bad disk. It would just not let you do anything. Well maybe ping it. Then after about 15-30 minutes. Everything started falling into place. You could log in and see it was rebuilding the raid. But, during that time. Very tense unless you have worked with the device before and or had disk lights to know yup. It is doing its thing. Leave it alone.

Pretty sure "wait" counter in this case is related to how long the CPU is waiting for a response from the disk drives you replaced. This is likely a quick way for them to tell if the drives have finished resilvering.

How the warranty works in palo alto? If the disk faills will they sent you a new disk or will replace you the fw.

I am sure you have been asked this before, but I am very curious just what kind of network a Network Admin such as yourself has at home. Please don't tell us you use the all-in-one provided by the ISP 😁
