I'm 20, and I still remember the good old days. I even miss high school, and sometimes I wished things were different, but everything led right up to where I am now. I have gone through so many ups and downs. But everyone, stay safe, be happy, live in the present moment. Stay in school, listen to your mothers and help out your fathers, stay away from drugs. Everyone's journey is different, but if your struggling, things WILL be okay.

When this came out I was on the edge of having a mental breakdown. I sat in the kitchen and wanted my life to be over. I was in high school. I had no money, no food to eat and every one I loved had turned against me. I sat there with a bottle of pills contemplating whether or not I should do it, then this started playing on the radio. I started crying and I felt happy after he said I felt some pain I’ve seen some things but I’m here now. I dropped out of school and joined the army and things are a little better now. I no longer worry about not having money for rent or food to eat. I am happy at the moment and I just want to let you know that you don’t have to kill yourselves to end your life. I wasted my entire 4 years of h.s. I did not join clubs, nor made any attempts to make new friends. While seeing my current friends expanding their own social group and having fun, I am in lost of how I am going to rebuild my social circle. Thankfully I opened my eyes when college came around. Listening to this song encourages me to change into a better me. If you're still young, please enjoy every aspect of your life.
