I was a teenager when these first dropped, but nostalgia can’t make up for the price tag. Good on them for doing a proper retro though.

Those 17's are so pretty. When they originally dropped in 2002 I got a pair and loved them to death. I started first wearing them just to school and out as casual kicks and as the years past I promoted them to the court and was so happy with how amazing they felt. I never once had any soreness with my feet while playing in them. The square toe makes it so much more naturally comfortable too. And hands down the best grip on the bottom of a basketball shoe I have ever experienced.

Man, I loved my OG 17s. I was working at Foot Action when we started getting in gray shirts with JORDA17 in blue and gold to prepare for the shoe launch. I wore the heck out of those shoes and shirt. Still have my silver case.

As a guy that bought every single pair of The originals when they came out. I was a huge fan of these but I just can't do it again. Not at these price points. When I did purchase them I had no family. It was just me. So spending 200 bucks on a pair of shoes was fine. Now I got a wife to answer to LOL and apropos of the sponsorship. My sole premise suitcase should be arriving here within the hour per UPS tracking

I remember a time when everybody use to talk bad about 17’s, called it ugly and even went far as to say that it’s not even a real Air Jordan shoe. It’s insane what hype and resale culture lead sheep to do, now everybody buying a shoe that they probably hated up until hype “changed their mind” 🤦‍♂️

I secured my pair! So happy!!! Was at work, and caught the Kith drop randomly about 9:30ish
Checked out so quickly without checking address or card info.. everything’s straight, they’re on the way! 🙏🏽🙌🏽

When the first color way dropped, my mom had gone to the store and go them for me for my bday. But when she got home she locked the car keys in the car and she had the shoes in the briefcase sitting in the front seat 😂 she asked me to help her out but that my present was sitting in the front seat haha so I got my bday present early. I didn’t appreciate the shoe on the court til a few years later. Such a good hooping shoe. But I’m no hooper, just a sneaker lover.
