Catch Up and Goodbyes

Sorry I’ve been gone so long. Let’s catch up. With everything that was going on in my life over the past couple of months, I was in a dark place. A budding friendship of mine ended with the passing of Jason ‘Leinfors’ Parker, which I thought might make it darker. But I look back on our conversations together, and instead, I’m inspired. I want to talk about where I’ve been, what’s been happening, as well as give a farewell to Leinfors.

I wasn't sure if I should do the return and memorial to Leinfors in two separate videos, but his passing is largely what pushed me to return, so I decided to make it all one video.

R.I.P. Jason Parker, I'm just a terraria player but what he did for the game was immense, and I loved his outfit the most. Really a tragic thing to happen to someone so kind.

I was chatting with a friend when I got the news about Leinfors. It hit me pretty hard as everything I’ve seen/heard/interacted with him has been amazing and when I heard that he had passed I was at a loss for words, I really did not know what to say at all.
I’ve also been using a piece of his dev set for a long time so I’ve always felt a bit of connection with him that way.
It’s truly big loss for the everyone and I wish his family and friends the best.

I remember when I worked with him, I was the builder at Relogic and he often worked with me on ideas and such. I kept complaining, "Man I wish we could build with all the unique backwalls" and he pushed for them to be craftable, later "I wish we could build with all the rubble..." at the time he said it would basically be impossible... then a few updates later he managed to do it. He was a legend, he was a mentor to me, but more importantly, he was one of my best friends. The world is a little darker without him in it and I'm going to miss him dearly.

Wow, when it rains, it pours. I’m sorry to hear about your family’s loss and health scare. Leinfors will be missed as well, for all of his dedication to the game and its community.

I never really new Jason but the way you and Chippy describe him, he must have been an awsome person and im also sorry for the loss of your grandfather i also hope this teaches you to try and connect with your family before it's too late
