3 months ago at my lowest point I had the worst anxiety attack and I was convinced that I couldn’t continue this life, and I was gonna end it. The fact that I’m here right now and I’m way stronger proves that you can keep going too.

Truely, it is only by acknowledging our own mortality and the mortality of the ones we love, that we can stop taking our lives, and theirs, for granted.

"..., but for others the certainty of death kept at the forefront of their thought. Why? So that they might truly feel alive."
Dude, this hit me so hard, that I just tear into crying

I always told people to “keep death in front of your eyes at all times” which seemed to give a wrong depressing impression on people until someone has introduced this quote to me and I feel at home

death is not a word to be afraid of but instead it will motivate us to reality and keep every single moment to make the best out of it! thank you!

I went through a big anxiety attack a few months ago and one thing that really helped reconcile that was reconciling to the fact of death.

Like you can't know day without night, you can't know life without death.

"don't waste time on what's stu[id or pointless" It's all stupid and pointless if you think it through so that leaves us with the only option, be as happy as you can be without impeding others happiness. That is the only thing that has a chance of being something.

Heidegger was asked fo advice on what a person could do right now to start living more fully, he replied that we should simply aim to spend more time ‘in graveyards

TLDR: Embracing the inevitability of death can help us prioritize, find meaning, and live life to the fullest.

1. 00:00 💀 Remembering the inevitability of death helps us live life to the fullest and appreciate each day.

2. 01:27 💀 We all die, so embrace the certainty of death to truly feel alive.

3. 02:12 💀 Meditating on death as a spiritual practice can help prioritize and give meaning to life, as seen in the philosophy of Memento Mori.

4. 03:41 💡 The victorious general was reminded of his mortality by a slave during his parade, serving as a reminder that despite his godlike adoration, he would eventually die.

5. 04:40 💀 Embracing the concept of death can help us focus on what truly matters in life and avoid the fear of failure.

6. 05:46 💀 Embrace death as a counselor, cherish, live, love, and speak your truth.

7. 06:24 💀 Death gives life ultimate meaning and drives us to live our best life, but modern society has made us forget our mortality.

8. 07:16 💀 Meditating on mortality creates priority, meaning, and happiness, reminding us to be grateful for every moment and not waste time on trivial things, as death gives life purpose and urgency.
8.1 Meditating on mortality is a tool to create priority, meaning, and happiness, reminding us to be grateful for every moment and not waste time on trivial things, as death gives life purpose and urgency.
8.2 Live life to the fullest and don't waste time on pointless things, as we all have a limited time on this planet.

Death is just a minor power, Time is it's master. Time kills us every minute of our lives in far more ways than death (which only kill us by ending our lives), look at a loved one and remember them when younger smiling, you will never see that again it has died.
