our step daughter who RARELY sees my husband, her step father from a previous marraige, thinks I 'need help', because i have told her my husband was diagnosed with Cog Impairment 8 years ago, so by now it has progressed to about stage 5-6 and she says, "I'm living in the past". She adds, 'let's talk about what is happening TODAY". I can't make her understand that this diagnosis from 8 years ago has EVERYTHING to do with where he is today. HELP!
