Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked U.S. President Joe Biden and the U.S. Congress for the "important bicameral and bipartisan support, for the leadership of the United States of America," during a meeting with U.S. lawmakers in Ukraine's capital.
During the meeting with the U.S. delegation headed by Adam Smith, Zelenskyy also thanked America for the warm welcome extended to the Ukrainian first lady on her visit to the U.S.
He also stressed how Ukraine is "especially grateful for the HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System)."
HIMARS, which can fire GPS-guided rockets at targets 80 kilometers away, out of reach of most Russian artillery systems, have significantly bolstered the Ukrainian strike capability.
