How do you get this to actually work without command blocks? As of 1.20, when a sheep eats grass to grow wool, there is no block update, the grass block doesn't become a dirt block, so the dispenser doesn't activate.

Everything works as it should except the wool isn’t being picked up on all sheep. Any fixes?

you can replace the redstone blocks with levers
