The cost of living is just getting crazy

The realistic answer is Pierre Poilievre's honest common sense approach with his core conservative values, that would address the post pandemic inflation Canadians are now experiencing. The NDP and Liberals believe the only answer is to tax Canadians more via costly programs, which in reality only add fuel to our inflation?

So we're going to print more money to give people a couple $100? When lowering taxes would put way more money in everybody's pocket. This is not debatable.

I don’t think Canadians are looking for a hand out, just wants a life that they can enjoy. Is it not the right of human to live with wellness?

We are screwed.
Are you going to tell the ppl that paid 1 million for a 500k home that they just lost half a million at 5% interest?
We let realtors drive prices up so far it’s literally cheaper to live in Hollywood than it is Ontario.
We are screwed. You’ll never own a home unless you’re a 2 income family earning a combined salary of $175k a year.
Only 5% of Canadians make above $160k.
Screwed!

Every single party out there does NOT have the best interest of the people at heart. How can you tell? Not ONE of them even remotely suggested doing things like ending corporate ownership of residential housing.

This doesn’t help Canadians in the middle ground. Not at all. I live in bc and rent in our city for a 2 bdr dwelling is between 220-2600 a month not including utilities. My husband and I had to buy a home when our rental sold within less than a month on the market and no conditions, and we had to do that with help so we could afford a place to live. Now with the bank of Canada interest rate hikes we are now on the boarder of being able to still afford our home or being homeless.
So again librals and NDP how is this helping?? Where’s the help for others…. Hmmm… ? On top of increased grocery bills and gas costs. I had to take a second job. On top of a job where I already work 42 hours a week. My husband works full time. We miss so much time with our child because We are working just to make ends meet. Even then we are short before payday. We are in the 50-60, 000 a year mark. This is ridiculousness.

If money leaves your pocket and goes into the government’s, it is a tax. That includes EI and CPP.

From NDP and Liberals there should be only 1 rep becoz they are the one who failed Canadians together

It is not logical to add more taxes on citizens. While life expectancy is decreasing, why politicians overly focused on EI and CPP as a justification.

Stop taxing Canadians, stop handing out free money, and let Canada get back to work again....that's how Canadians make more money, that is how the economy grows, and that is how Canada s government collects taxes that works.

For all their faults, I appreciate that the Conservatives want people who work to be able to make ends meet.

I can't believe this NDP MP is proud of one-time payments no one will remember in six months. Dental coverage is great, but less meaningful when you can't afford food, rent, and utilities.

That said, I think taxes are necessary, especially replenishing CPP reserves. The problem is that taxes are so misspent on waste that raising them doesn't solve a thing.

When the government finally gets back in its lane of providing essential services and infrastructure and out of personal agendas, if it's not too late, there might be hope for us.

Every panel should have a few Canadian citizens to be able to show these politicians the reality of everyday people, especially when these politicians try to say that all these taxes and plans are helping them.
