#Steps you need to follow to get serial number using row function are:-
=row(
after you can give same cell name where you applying formula otherwise Excel will read automatic your current cell Address.
if you want to give cell address then your formula might look like this =row(B2
after close braces
=row()
Here is the trick After completing this function you have to give subtraction (-) symbol there, Then after inserting subtraction symbol. You have to insert The row number Before your current row number.
For example:- If your cell is B2, Then your row number is 2. And column number is B. So you have to write -1. Or if your row is B20. Then your row number is 20, so you have two right after subtraction Symbol -19. Then press enter. And Drake? Till you want Your serial number. I hope you get the answer.
