This is the best and most insightful realisation of Tchaikovsky's setting of the outpourings of first love in a letter by Tatiana who is coldly rebuffed by Onegin. In this aria she confides everything to the unworthy Onegin. Teresa Zyllis Gara conveys the innocent vulnerability in a way that I believe would have pleased Tchaikovsky whose understanding of this character is remarkable.
