A tip for Nova launcher users: If you go into settings of nova you can hide apps from showing in the app drawer.

I used to be die hard Nova Prime, but I gave OneUI 2.0 a fair try and it does everything I need and does it well. There's a surprisingly deep level of customisation in Samsung's skin.

I definitely recommend the animation scale tweaks. I've turned mine completely off for years now. You do lose the nice transitions, but it makes the phone feel just that extra bit snappier, which I prefer.

My favorite tip: Write your name and address and/or an alternate phone number on a piece of paper. Take a photograph, then set that as your lock screen. When you lose your phone, and someone picks it up, they can then see where to send it or where to call so you can get it back, without having to unlock it.

holy sheep, I can't imagine how much time did it took to get your perfect phone setup. Personally I took ages on deciding my wallpaper, most of the other things were left at default... guess I'm not a smartphone power user

Interesting. I've set up a new phone a number of times, but certain Apps like Swiftkey Keyboard and Nova Launcher had to be set up again, from scratch on the new phone. This time, I've followed your advice and have backed Nova/What's App up to the Drive. Hopefully, that'll do the trick, so thanks for the tip, as I am due to copy/setup to a Pixel 6a tomorrow!
