Construction of the dam began in 1958 and was completed in 1962, flooding what was from 1840 known as "Lovely Valley". Flown from a popular lookout, just before numbers picked up in the morning. A rare still and sunny winter's day. Proof of Bugs 3 platform peeks out at upper left from time to time - something I fixed for future flights.
