This is a Triton Audio Fethead Inline Preamp on a Behringer XM8500 mic review.

In this Triton Fethead review we test what it sounds like on a budget friendly XLR microphone, the Behringer XM8500. You'll hear how this inline preamp boosts the signal to give you a cleaner sound. If you are using a dynamic mic in your setup, you can't go wrong with getting a Triton Audio Fethead.

In this video, Radio Zane looks at the Triton Audio Fethead in-line microphone Preamp Booster. Not the Triton Fethead Phantom. Attached the Behringer XM8500 singing microphone. The Behringer XM8500 can be used for gaming, guitar, drums and more. Typically compared: Behringer XM8500 vs Shure SM58 or Behringer XM8500 vs XM1800s. This is not a Triton Fethead vs Cloudlifter video. Perfect for Podcast.

Have you added a fethead or cloudlifter to your studio setup? Has it increased the quality of your content? Feel free to link to some of your videos to show us how great they sound. You can also link some before and after videos if you like.

Cool! But wonder if you could do a test of the noise floor before and after? I think that's pretty important. Thanks

I have the XM8500 and a Fethead and record to a Zoom H6. I really like how it sound for that price. I got four XM8500 and use them for my podcast. I use the fethead when I record my intros for the podcast. Normaly I have my gain at 6 out of 10 on the Zoom but with the fethead I have the gain at just past 2. Recording my intro with zero noicefloor in a closet made a big difference compared to when I didn't have the fethead and recorded in my kitchen. The XM8500 need a bit of EQ in post but again, for that price... Nice videos man! Greetings from Döda Katten Podcast - Sweden.

Do i need to put the FetHead directly at the mic, or can i use it at the XLR on the Interface?

The fethead in the amazon link is the one with the phantom power, isnt that for condenser mics?

I’ll be using the XM8500 with the Zoom u-22 interface. Do you think a fethead will make a big diference for podcasts and voiceovers?

How close were you to the xm8500 microphone, while recording....are you sure you didn't process the audio ...cause I really need to know for sure if that triton Fethead had that behringer xm8500 sounding this great .... Too many times audio reviews on YouTube are processed and presented to viewers in a bid to get them to purchase .... And when they purchase the said item, they are disappointed .... Out of box testing is rarely done and therefore a lot of us were misled

Hey mate. I have questions. Uhm i’m kinda new to dynamic mics. I can’t afford a USB Interface example behringer u phoria stuff like that. So can i plug and play my dynamic mic with my XLR to 3.5mm if it requires more gain i have a phantom power 48volts. Would that work? If not i have a V8 soundcard a cheap soundcard but there’s a lot of hiss to it. Search it up. And will my phantom power damage my XM8500? Heaven’t ordered yet but i would like to know some info before i do. Thanks and i would appreciate it.
