MAAFA in New Orleans 2018

This video is about MAAFA. A commemoration of our ancestors who endured the Transatlantic Slave Trade or Middle Passage. This time millions of African people were kidnapped and brought to the Americas in chains where they were used as a free labor force, persecuted, beaten, raped and many separated from their families forever.

Since the year 2000 the Ashé Cultural Arts Center along with many people from all walks of faith, come together to commemorate MAAFA in New Orleans.
