Breezy conditions overnight ahead of a cold front early Tuesday. It'll be windy for much of Tuesday midday, afternoon and evening with winds gusting near 35 mph across the piedmont.
In the mountains and foothills, gusts are even higher in the 40s to near 50 mph. This has prompted a Wind Advisory to be issued for Ashe, Watauga, Avery, Greater Caldwell and Greater Burke counties from 8 a.m. Tuesday to 8 a.m. Wednesday.
