People don't wait to get thin no matter how long they waited. They do something about it like going on diets, exercises, and workouts. Same for skinny people who want to be less underweight. From my experience as a skinny girl, I tried to eat a lot and do workouts. My mom sees a bit of improvements in my body. The thing is, people either become fatter or skinnier when they do something about it.
