'Incredible fakes' - Russia slams footage of Ukraine conflict at the United Nations

Footage and images of conflict in Ukraine are "incredible fakes", says the Russian Ambassador at the UN General Assembly.

Ambassador Extraordinary Vassily Nebenzia said that Russian actions had been "distorted", blaming the media and social networks.

Mr Nebenzia blamed Ukraine for the current crisis, and it's action to committee "genocide" in the Donbas and Luhansk areas in the south west of the country.

As a sworn translator and interpreter with more than 20 years of experience, I think the interpreter did a good job. She's a tad fast but the speaker's not making things easy for her and they don't usually care about making things easy for the person translating. And the message is perfectly conveyed.

My personal nightmare still is a Scottish doctor talking about AIDS I encountered early in my career. One of my best experiences was working with Dave Bautista during a press conference near Barcelona. And the scariest one, interpreting for a newspaper journalist who interviewed a friend of Aleksandr Litvinenko shortly after the polonium incident.
