What Joe do is basically what we did back in the early 2000, hanging with friends and talking all kind of things, Joe just taken it to another level with cooler people and knowledgeable people.

Joe is at the top because he was in the podcasting game way before the boom of podcasting became what it was. He’s a very curious person as well that seems to be interested in gaining and understanding information on various topics. The fame and reputation of his podcast and his name have allowed for people with big names and deep knowledge to come onto his podcast which in turn grows his brand exponentially. He’s also a very intelligent, rational, likable person which doesn’t hurt. Ultimately, it’s a business and he ran it the right way and invested in the right things at the right time.

Part of his success in going out of his areas of knowledge, is his obvious thirst for knowledge and understanding of everything and anything. His eyes really light up when people explain things, I think that just endears him to people even more. He doesn’t try to pretend to know things he doesn’t know, he’ll admit his ignorance of a subject freely. Who does that? What a guy, he’s pretty great.
