It would be better if it was narrated by a human voice.

I’m more scared of homeless people in these places rather that ghosts

The train car isn't in the middle of nowhere lmao I live across the street from it

My grandparents live in Rantoul and I pass the Chanute Air Force Base every time I go to visit them.

I explored Chanute Air Force Base a few weeks ago, and it was pretty cool and somewhat easy to explore. I was expecting it to be a lot harder, but I didn't see any security or cameras. I'd definitely recommend wearing a mask though, because the air inside the dorms and hospital is definitely not good to breathe in. I'm probably going to Cairo in a week or two also.

edit: I went to Cairo and it was awesome! I explored a couple of the buildings (the movie theatre and the hospital), but I mostly just drove around the town and took pictures. I found it incredible how unique and historic the whole town is, and it's sad that most of the buildings there are abandoned.

I live right by Six Flags Great America and there was a abandon Cardinal Health Building that you could only get to by walking down the (still active) train tracks and then walking across a small thin wood bored over water to get to a barbed wire fence with a missing section, the building water two story’s tall and had an open hatch latter going to the roof, the building had an office section and a factory/ware house section, the office section was in good shape the first day we checked it out and it looked like an active office building filled with marker boarded, cubicles, desks, chairs, everything a regular office would have but it was closed down and half of the warehouse building was ready to be torn down, me and my brother only have been inside about five times since about two weeks after stumbling on to the factory did it get totally demolished, I recorded some footage and uploaded it to my channel and that’s all I have to remember it besides a Belkin Power Strip that was still in its box I snatched. The only other abandon building I know of is this one story department store that used to be in good shape when closed, it’s now been flooded and has holes in its ceilings and huge piles of debris, a garage behind it is filled with street signs, I managed to get 10 street signs and bring them home, now a real street sign that reads 25 MPH hangs above my bed as I type this comment as a reminder to explore, be free and be happy while doing it.

I used to live in Rantoul, within a few minutes from Chanute Air Force Base. The closing of the base devastated the town, it still hasn't really bounced back.

I never really saw anything specifically while there, but as a kid I would bike ride home in the dark and it was the most terrifying thing. Zero street lights, unusual sounds, and just the feeling of a presence.. the feeling like you're being watched by something.

They spread rumors that some of the buildings started growing mold, but I feel like part of that must be a deterrent. Think I'll make a trip to get some video here soon.

You could make a whole video about these types of things in Champaign or Madison County alone

Do some basic research... poseyville isn't even in Illinois. That's Indiana.. how you even mess that up

Totally forgot the abandon monk place..in Oakbrook we used to sneak inside and it is HUGE and so creepy. Unfortunately they demolished it but we had some fun times exploring. It almost looked like a hospital but it wasnt.

You should really check out the history we have here in Decatur, Il.... it once was a battle field for Thomas Jefferson! The remains of soliders amd Indians sit still today underneath the old high school Steven Decatur. It today is a Junior high school. Next 2 years they are going to tear up more historic grounds to rebuild the school to tje future of our children here. Pretty cool. Also we have 2 major plants here that feeds the world! ADM and Tate & Lyle!

If you can’t afford to have a live person narrate your videos, stop posting them. While some of the places presented could be interesting, the disembodied digital voice that narrates is creepy.

#2 is an old rail car that was used as a tool shed when Conrail was in operation in Danville.

Cool subject matter, but the dreadful digital narration kept me from making it past the first entry.
